Hello, my name is Diana., I am 16 years old and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Two summers ago, my parents and I were on our way home from my grandparent's house. I was asleep in the back seat, and my mother and father were in the front seat when a car, driven by a repeat drunk driver, sideswiped our car causing it to flip 3 times. When I had regained consciousness, I heard people yelling "Get back. The car is on fire." I looked up as the car exploded. Forty-five minutes later at the hospital, I was told that the firefighters tried everything they could, but they were unable to free my parents from the car before it exploded. I am 22 now, and I am a strong believer and supporter of the Citizens' Outcry organization. I strongly urge everybody to sign their petition, and help them put a stop to repeat alcohol offenses. |
