We,the signers of this petition, protest the serving of alcohol for the celebration. Alcohol presents a danger to our families, especially to our children. Alcohol can result in deaths!! When they leave your celebration, they would be driving under the influence and might kill themselves or other innocent drivers. This would not be an "accident". It would be murder, and you served the driver his drinks, you could be legally and financially liable, not to mention devastated. The serving of alcohol lowers the standards of a celebration with loud, rude behavior and possibly spousal abuse or child abuse. You may be thinking of making a profit from the sale of alcohol, but if you become liable for drivers, DWI. Y ou could lose more money than you could make in years of celebrations. Reconsider this road to profit, and sell more gifts, souvenirs, soft drinks, desserts. No one commits vehicular manslaughter after a soft drink. Have great music, not alcohol drug drinking music or heavy metal bands. Have great ribs. Enjoy, but don't look for fast dangerous profits from the #1 killer drugs of America and our children - ALCOHOL!! For that reason, the undersigned petitions are requesting the Rib Exchange, park district, and the mayor to promote an alcohol-free celebration as we had in previous years that had family values, with good music,good food, sodas, bottled water, cofee, and friends and family. This will protect the guests, families and children and give them a safe fun time and a safe ride home. We know you care more about people than a rapid profit that could blow up. So let the celebration begin!!!!!Enjoy!!
